I Grew Up With Acne. Then I Became An Esthetician. Here's What I Know Now That I Wish I'd Known Then.
I have been dealing with my skin since I was a teenager.
Breakouts that showed up uninvited & stayed longer than they should have. A barrier that felt permanently confused, dry in some places, oily in others, sensitive to almost everything.
I tried everything. Different cleansers. Different moisturizers. Whatever was recommended, reviewed, ranked. & the frustrating part wasn't that nothing worked, it's that some things worked a little, for a little while, & then stopped. & I'd be back at square one with a lighter bank account & the same skin.
Here's what I know now that I didn't know then: I wasn't the problem. The approach was.
If you've been building your skincare routine based on TikTok recommendations, Ulta bestsellers or what your favorite creator swears by: I need to say something to you directly.
That is not a skincare plan. That is a collection of products built for someone else's skin.
Most women I see in my treatment room are not lazy about their skin. They're actually doing a lot. Spending real money. Trying consistently. The issue isn't effort; it's that the products they're using were never designed for their specific skin, their specific concerns or what's actually happening underneath the surface.
& when mismatched products hit a compromised barrier day after day, they don't just fail to help, they quietly make things worse. More congestion. More sensitivity. More frustration.
My core belief is that I work with the skin, not against it.
Specifically, I work with lymphatic flow. Because most skin concerns that women come to me with acne, dullness, puffiness, premature aging, & dehydration have a lymphatic component that nobody is addressing.
When lymphatic flow is sluggish, waste doesn't clear. Fluid doesn't circulate. Nutrients don't reach the skin cells that need them. Products don't absorb the way they should. & the skin stays stuck in a cycle of inflammation & congestion that no serum can break on its own.
This is what I mean when I say I am as clinical as holistic can get & as holistic as clinical can get. The approach isn't soft & it isn't harsh. It's precise. It works with your body's own systems instead of overriding them.
I became an esthetician to help myself & other women glow as naturally as possible, with the most relaxing & results-driven custom approach I could build. & the results I've seen from working this way have been the most significant of my career.
Here’s what actually moves the needle:
1. Stop building your routine from the internet. Get a professional skin assessment from someone who can actually look at your skin, not a quiz that puts you in a category. Your skin is specific. Your routine should be too.
2. Address lymphatic flow, not just surface congestion. Lymphatic drainage isn't a trend. It's one of the most effective tools for clearing acne, reducing puffiness & restoring that luminous quality that no topical alone can create.
3. Repair your barrier before you add anything new. If your skin is reactive, congested or chronically dehydrated, layering actives on top of a compromised barrier is making it worse. Repair first. Treat second.
4. Build a treatment plan, not a one-time appointment. Real skin transformation happens over time with a consistent protocol. One treatment can shift things. A real plan changes them.
If any of this sounds like your skin right now, DM me the word START & let's figure out what yours actually needs.
